Trip Overview

Our Everest Short Trek will show you the mighty Everest and many impressive surrounding peaks. This trek will introduce you to the local Sherpa people, their culture and customs and take you through the landscapes they call home: at comfortable elevations.

Day 1: Arrival day , check in to your hotel & rest or explore Kathmandu city around you.

Day 2: A 35 minute Mountain flight from Kathmandu will lift you to the Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla (2,642m/8 668ft), the gateway to Everest base camp trek. From there, this 5 day shortest trek to Everest follows the EBC trail for 3-4 hours through forest, farmland and Sherpa villages to Phakding: at a lower altitude that will help acclimatization.

Day 3:
Next day, we trek slowly up to Namche Bazaar (3 440m/11 287ft): the tourist and administrative hub of this region. There will be marvelous views of Thamserku and Khumbila on the way.

Day 4:
We will spend the another night in Khumbila, to explore the best highlights in this region.

Day 5: Afternoon walk to the large Sherpa village of Khumjung which offers a unique and authentic experience of Sherpa traditional life in this unforgiving territory and magnificent views of Kangtega, Ama Dablam, Island Peak, Everest, Nuptse and Lhotse. Retrace to Lukla for early morning flight to Kathmandu.

Day 6: Fly back from Lukla to Kathmandu. you have a chance to rest or explore the city around you.

Day 7: Departure to your home.

-Accommodation type: Hotel + Guesthouses or lodges.

-Level of Difficulty:Easy to Moderate.

-Theme: Nature, Adventure, Culture, Hiking.

Note: Above trekking hours and distances are approximate, and absolutely for general idea only.
Remark: - Please note that cloud and turbulent weather is a regular phenomenon along the Himalayan range. It is thus possible that domestic flights from Kathmandu to/from Lukla may have to be delayed for a few hours or even cancelled for a day or more. Fortunately this does not happen frequently during the high seasons of March to May or September to November: but you need to plan for this possibility.
